The Road - A Poem

You are my lover.

You are my dearest friend.

You call my name.

Who am I to deny you?

Your curves, your long winding curves, excite me.

An adventure waits as you take me where I need to be.

For I am an adventurer and you always satisfy me.

You never bore me.

You never wrong me.

You never leave me.

Fathers have left me.

Friends forsake me.

Flames extinguish in the darkest moments.

But, you have always shown me kindness.

You never leave me wanting.

You are the mystery worth solving.

Leave a Tip if You Enjoyed this or a Polite Suggestion.
