He was a Motocross competitor in his youth, a mechanic, artist; business owner, father and grandfather. The making of this episode also involved the police who thought I was either a serial killer picking up a homeless woman or a pornographer making hobo porn. Either way, please listen to her story and try to understand that most homeless people are not losers but most suffer from a severe mental illness or are escaping a terrible situation.

He faced death and is now living with an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator (ICD) implanted in his chest, J.R. became has become an advocate for people learning CPR and getting AED’s (Automated External Defibrillators) into the Jacksonville Community. A big shout out for this episode to the Jacksonville Beach Volunteer Life Saving Corps for saving J.R. Bournes’ Life.
